Get to know some of our team

Matthew’s Story

I joined Heaford as an apprentice, aged 16. I’m naturally very inquisitive, and after gaining my qualifications, I discovered my passion for resolving customers’ technical challenges. I visited five continents in my first year as a service engineer. Working with Heaford is a fantastic opportunity to experience different cultures and see the world. I like to be the life and soul of the party!

Paul’s Story

I joined the company in 1987, initially as a labourer. I progressed to gain technical qualifications and became a fitter in 1997. I’m now assembly supervisor, responsible for ensuring every Heaford machine is delivered on time and to the highest quality standard. I’ve installed and serviced machines in countries all around the world, attended exhibitions and organised machine demos. I love DIY, photography and scuba-diving.

Nigel’s Story

I joined Heaford in 1982, when my father, John found the company. I completed a mechanical engineering apprenticeship whilst building machines from start to finish. This progressed to a role in service and installation. Today, I manage product sales in the UK, Middle East, Australasia & East Asia. I enjoy riding motorcycles, hill walking, family time, and sampling the local foods of the countries I visit.

Senior Management – Business Development

As we celebrate our 40th year and focus on our business growth strategy, we have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager – Business Development.

Reporting to our Managing Director, this new role will be focused on identifying, developing, and nurturing new capital equipment sales leads and setting the business’s sales and marketing strategy. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong commercial acumen and experience of selling capital equipment worldwide to support our sales managers and global agency network.

The successful candidate should demonstrate exceptional communication and presentation skills. A highly collaborative approach combined with drive and resilience are a pre-requisite as is attention to detail and business acumen.

Language skills would be beneficial but are not essential but a willingness to travel and a UK driving license are crucial to this role.
