Heaford Bids Farewell to Two Remarkable Colleagues:  Pat Ross and Phil Moore

December marked a bittersweet moment at Heaford as we bid farewell to two of our colleagues, Pat Ross and Phil Moore, who have collectively dedicated nearly five decades of service. Their retirement not only signifies the end of an era but also highlights the wealth of experience and camaraderie that has enriched our workplace over the years.

Pat Ross – A Pillar of Efficiency in Purchase Ledger

Pat started her journey with Heaford on January 10, 1996, assuming the role of Purchase Ledger Clerk. With meticulous attention to detail, Pat seamlessly managed our supplier relations, swiftly resolving queries, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payments. Her warm demeanour and readiness to go the extra mile made her a cherished presence in our office, always greeting everyone with a smile.

In retirement, Pat looks forward to cherishing quality moments with her husband Pete, son Paul, and the delights of being a grandmother to Olivia and Savannah. Her legacy of dedication and professionalism will be fondly remembered by all who had the pleasure of working alongside her.

Phil Moore – A Global Journey of Service and Friendship

Phil, who joined Heaford in January 1994 as a Fitter, Service, and Installation Engineer, has been an integral part of our international ventures. Completing his apprenticeship at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd, Phil brought a wealth of expertise to our team. Over the years, he visited an impressive 54 countries, leaving an indelible mark as he installed and serviced Heaford machines worldwide.

Reflecting on his time at Heaford, Phil emphasised the camaraderie and friendships that defined his experience. Witnessing the evolution of technology in our machines, from gear-driven to motor-driven and software-controlled, was a remarkable journey for him. In retirement, Phil plans to explore the serene canals and rivers of England, having his eye set on acquiring a cabin cruiser.

Beyond the workshop, Phil’s passions include cycling and cruising on his motorcycle. His adventurous spirit and dedication have left an enduring legacy, and we wish him endless joy and relaxation as he embarks on this new chapter.

Pat and Phil were celebrated at a team meeting in December where they were showered with gifts.

May their retirements be filled with the joy and fulfilment they deserve, and may their memories continue to inspire us all. We thank them for being an integral part of the Heaford family and wish them the very best in their well-deserved retirement.
