Simonazzi based in Milan, Italy have over 60 years’ experience in the flexographic  industry, and we’re delighted to say they represent Heaford in Italy.

The Simonazzi and Heaford families relationship goes back nearly 40 years and now with the second generation of each family, and their colleagues, running the businesses, the relationship is equally as strong.

Simonazzi are a leading Italian company distributing for many of the world’s foremost flexographic suppliers including MacDermid plates, Axcyl sleeves and Sandon Global aniloxs to name but a few.

Enrico Albani from Simonazzi commented “For flexible packaging Heaford offers a practically automatic system, where the only action that the operator must perform is to place the plate on the two manipulators over the cameras, which in turn, reading the register marks, will position themselves in register to begin the plate mounting process.

In the case of the label models, the FTS 500 and FTS 700 models, we are in the presence of semi-automatic technology, which only requires positioning the register marks on the horizontal line of the screen and that’s it.

We have customers who with one plate mounting machine easily mount plates for three printing presses,” adds Albani, recalling that “in a sector such as label printing where there are several daily job changes, the speed factor is very important, then certainly the price is important, but it is not the first discriminating factor, value for money is.”
